Darlingtonia

The Darlingtonia genus is represented by a fascinating species: Darlingtonia californica. Native to the swamps of Oregon and northern California, this carnivorous plant is distinguished by its tubular horn-shaped leaves, much like Sarracenia, but with an opening resembling a snake's head. It is this characteristic that earned it its nickname “cobra plant”.
